Deborah Rifkin Featured at the March IC Faculty ColloquiumContributed by Marisa Kelly on 03/04/12 Please join me on March 8th at the next IC Faculty Colloquium. Deborah Rifkin, newly tenured faculty member in the School of Music, will be presenting “Meaning in Contemporary Music: Jennifer Higdon’s Textured Tales.” The IC Faculty Colloquium was launched during the fall semester. It is a monthly event designed to provide a forum for faculty to share with one another their scholarly and creative work. This is a chance for people across department and school lines to learn more about the exciting pursuits of their colleagues and to engage with one another as members of a common learning community. Please join me from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th, in the Clark Lounge. We will enjoy wine, appetizers, an outstanding presentation, and excellent conversation. I look forward to seeing you there. Additional Faculty Colloquiums are scheduled on April 5th and May 3rd, so mark your calendars. |
