Ithaca College

The C. P. Snow Scholar Award, a $500 gift, is presented to one or two students each year "who have fulfilled Snow's vision in their schoolwork and extracurricular activities" by finding a way to bridge the gap between the sciences and the humanities.

The spring 2012 application deadline is Friday, March 9th.

Application Guidelines

Eligible applicants should have junior or senior standing, a minimum GPA of 3.0 (submit transcript) and demonstrate a record of interdisciplinary work within the humanities and sciences. Complete applications include:

• Two letters of recommendation submitted from faculty
• A three to five page essay (double-spaced) that discusses why you think the integration of the humanities and sciences is important and describes how you are achieving this through your academic program and/or your external activities.

All application materials below should be submitted by the deadline to the C. P. Snow Committee, c/o Prof. Janet Hunting, jhunting@ithaca.edu, CNS 357. Electronic submissions are preferred.
