Ithaca College

 The first movement of "Three Chagall Paintings for Guitar and Electronics" by Assistant Professor of Music Theory Peter Silberman was performed by guitarist Anton Machleder at Monroe Community College in Rochester on Tuesday, March 6.

 The composition was inspired by three paintings by the twentieth-century Russian painter Marc Chagall: "The Fiddler," "Solitude," and "The Binding of Isaac."  Machleder, Instructor of Guitar at Monroe Community College, performed the work on a faculty recital.
