School of Business students, the deadline to register for the Ithaca College in New York City Program is Wednesday, March 21. Apply in Dean’s Office.

Next fall, Ithaca College faculty, staff, students, alumni, and parents have a place of their own to stay in the city that never sleeps.

Ithaca College signed an agreement with Club Quarters that provides access to the company’s World Trade Center location for students in the Ithaca College New York City (ICNYC) program, as well as faculty, staff, students, alumni, and parents traveling to New York City.   Through the ICNYC program, students can gain hands-on experience through internships and take traditional courses as well.

Benefits to the ICNYC program

Club Quarters will provide centralized classroom and meeting space for the students studying and working in New York City.  Students will meet at the location at least once a week for classes, and the program director’s office will be located there.

This spring, the ICNYC pilot program included 22 students from various majors who took classes and interned at places such as Saturday Night Live, the Late Show with David Letterman, Madison Square Garden, Nike, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and others.  The program will expand next fall to include approximately 50 students from nine courses of study.

The courses of study offered each semester will vary to encourage students from a range of academic programs to participate. The deadline to apply for the fall 2012 semester is March 21. Apply in Dean’s Office. More information can be found at here.
