Visit the Biology Department's Greenhouse to see and smell the Arum flower! Many of you have heard about Cornell's Titum Arum (Amorphophallus titanum) bloom that took place recently. If you didn't get the chance to see theirs, come see ours! The Biology Department keeps a different species of arum (Amorphophallus konjac) in its greenhouse and this arum is also in bloom. The bloom will last for only a day or two, so make time to visit this gigantic and unusual flower soon! The greenhouse is open to visitors each day during the week. It is located on the west side of the Center for Natural Sciences. The arum has been cultivated by Frank Naples, our greenhouse manager. |
