Ben Van De Water and Joshua Condon, sophomores in the IC School of Music, are the founders of Academy of Composers, and now finalists in the competition.  The grand prize winner will receive $5,000.  They have continued to work on and improve their business concept since the Fall.  Brad Treat, a business professional and Ithaca College lecturer said "They are creative, smart, hard-working guys, who we expect big things from."

The Creative Core Student Business Idea Competition had more than over 100 submissions from 12 upstate NY counties, so being a finalist is a major accomplishment.  Ben and Joshua have been invited to Syracuse on March 30th for the announcement of the grand prize winner.  Here, they will also have the opportunity to connect with other upstate New York entrepreneurs and investors.
