On Wednesday April 4th, Faculty Development in conjunction with The Committee for College-wide Requirements (CCR) will be hosting the first in a series of events and workshops to help faculty prepare for implementation of the Integrative Core Curriculum. Register here The new ICC has been approved by faculty in all five schools and the curriculum proposal is now under review by the Academic Policies Committee. The next step in the implementation process is to assist faculty in completing and submitting paperwork for curricular changes, to assist faculty as they revise and develop courses to be taught within the new integrative core, and to assist faculty as they develop general education Capstone experiences. These 1 hour workshops (offered from 12-1pm and 1-2pm) will include a short panel discussion and Q&A followed by two concurrent sessions. Faculty are encouraged to attend either session or consider attending both sessions to be able to participate in both concurrent sessions. FD and CCR anticipate that this will be the first in a series of events to assist faculty with the transition to a new core curriculum. It is important to note that the final format of the Integrative Core Curriculum is pending the action and outcome of APC.
