Beginning April 9, 2012 at 9:00 AM, SGA will begin accepting Funding Requests to be heard during the Fall Budget Process. This is the one and only opportunity for Student Organizations to requests funds for the first block of the 2012-2013 academic year. Here is a list of important dates to remember for the Fall Budget Process: Monday, April 9, 2012 at 9:00 AM o Funding Request will begin to be accepted § Head over to my website to submit your request § Operational, Programming, Travel, and Fundraising requests will be accepted o Work with your organization as soon as possible to plan the entirety of Block 1. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:00 PM o Funding Requests will no longer be accepted Sunday, April 15, 2012 by 8:00 PM o Organizations will be contacted regarding their scheduled appointment times § Currently scheduled meeting dates are April 16, 23, and (if necessary) 30 § Meetings will being at 8:00 PM o Each request will receive seven minutes to present their Budget Proposal to the Budget Committee § Each request- that is, if an organization wishes to present to the Budget Committee multiple proposals- will be considered independently of one another Monday, April 16, 2012 by 5:00 PM o ALL Advisor Approvals must be submitted no later than this time § Funding Requests without an associated Advisor Approval not be considered o Advisor Approvals are letters sent to respective advisors immediately after a Funding Request is submitted. Immediately after an advisor submits their approval, the organization treasurer will receive a notification e-mail. If the treasurer does not receive this notification in due time, feel free to contact me. Monday, April 16, 2012 at 8:00 PM o The Budget Committee will reconvene for the Fall 2012 Budget Process.
Once the Budget Committee has heard all eligible Budget Proposals, we will once again convene to compare all eligible proposals at one time and decide which options are the most equitable to the entire Ithaca College campus. The Budget Committee will take into consideration an organization’s past conduct regarding SGA Budget Proposals when making these allocation decisions and they will not be made on a first-come, first- serve basis.
