Barney Beins has written chapters that were published in two psychology volumes. One chapters deals with the history of psychology; the second chapter involves graduate education in psychology.

The first chapter is a biographical sketch of the psychologist Jean Piaget. It highlighted the development of his career and the theoretical contributions he made to psychology.

The second chapter is oriented toward graduate students in psychology and the ways that they can enhance their scholarly development. The chapter focuses on effective writing.
