Peace Corps to host Information Session in Career ServicesContributed by Kristin LiBritz on 04/06/12 Coming from all walks of life and representing the rich diversity of the American people, volunteers bring their skills and life experiences to where they are needed most. Peace Corps volunteers receive financial and medical benefit packages. As part of the Peace Corps, you would work abroad for two years with local community members on projects ranging from education, youth outreach and community development, business, agriculture, environment, and information technology. All majors are welcome to apply and applications should be submitted a year in advance of availability date. Students studying education, English, natural or environmental sciences, health education (or related disciplines) and business are encouraged to apply. Learn more from the Peace Corps recruiter during an information session on Thursday, April 19 in Career Services at 12:15pm. Reserve your seat for this information session using your eRecruiting account. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations are asked to contact the Office of Career Services as soon as possible at 607-274-3365 or careers@ithaca.edu. |
