Steven Mauk, professor of music/saxophone, was the featured guest artist at the 13th Annual Central Florida SAXFEST, held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. The festival brought together saxophonists from around central Florida for a day of concerts and clinics. Mauk presented a master class, where he publicly taught several students, and performed a formal concert. Featured on that concert was the music of Dana Wilson, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Jacob ter Veldhuis, Paul Hindemith, and Giacomo Puccini.

He then travelled to Statesboro, Georgia, where he was guest artist at Georgia Southern University. Mauk performed the same concert as in Florida and conducted a master class with GSU students.
