ICSJP will hold a vigil in the academic quad from Tues, May 1st to Thurs, May 3rd. The vigil memorializes the 400+ Palestinian villages destroyed in the Nakba in 1948.

Our vigil will have a member available from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all three days. Students can come learn about a particular village by reading the information we provide, and then write that village's name on a ribbon that you will be able to put up in commemoration. This will be a great opportunity to learn about Palestinian history, a narrative we see trivialized too often in society by masking the day of mourning as one of celebration.

For further questions about the vigil, the Nakba, or Palestinian politics, please contact our organization.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Ithaca College Students for Justice in Palestine at sjpithaca@gmail.com. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
