Rachel Wagner -- short-story finalist in NPR's "Three Minute Fiction" contestContributed by Craig Duncan on 04/16/12 From among a field of 6000 entries, Rachel Wagner's short story "Antiques" has been selected as one of a handful of finalists in Round 8 of NPR's "Three Minute Fiction" contest.
According to the NPR website, "All Things Considered's contest has a simple premise: Listeners send in original short stories that can be read in three minutes or less." Eventually a single winner will be chosen for this round. Rachel's story is available at: http://www.npr.org/2012/04/12/150522206/antiques According to Rachel, her short story grew out of the thinking she has done this semester in conjunction with her course "Religion and Science Fiction."

I always love this competition on NPR. Impressive indeed for one of our faculty to be a finalist--and I share the longings the story eloquently articulates! Congratulations!
