Specifically, we have explored black men's complex relationships to self-determination and agency, state surveillance and violence, education, masculinity, socio-economic factors, and cultural representations. In enabling a critical engagement with these issues, the Series hopes to address the sensationalisms, successes, sexualities, responsibilities, celebrations, violences, and endangerments that form the framework for understanding the lives of Black Men. This event is free and open to the public. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation should contact the CSCRE @ (607) 274-1056 or cscre@ithaca.edu |
