Michael Twomey, English, organized and chaired a session titled "Arthurian Manuscripts" at the 47th International Congress on Medieval Studies, Western Michigan University.

The three papers in the session examined cartography, readers' annotations, and illuminations in manuscripts containing historical and fictional narratives about the medieval legend of King Arthur.  It was one of four sessions sponsored by the North American Branch of the International Arthurian Society, in which Twomey serves on the executive board as English Literature representative.  The congress, which took place in Kalamazoo, MI, May 10-13, brings together scholars from all over the world for papers on all aspects of the European and Asian Middle Ages.
