At Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, he took part in two panel presentations at the international conference, “Globalization in a Post-Crisis World.” His formal presentation was entitled “An American Historical Perspective on Globalization.” A widely published poet who taught in IC’s Department of Writing, Hamill holds a doctorate in American literature from Stanford University. His wife, Kristin, who served for many years as the college’s coordinator of student publicity, is accompanying him in Romania.
