Professors Steve Mauk (saxophone) and Kim Dunnick (trumpet) will be featured as soloists with the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra in Chengdu, China this coming week.  Jeff Meyer (Director of Orchestras) will be conducting the program of works by Beethoven, Tomasi, Villa-lobos among others. 

Meyer has spent the last week at the Xi'an Conservatory of Music where he coached chamber music, worked with the Xi'an Conservatory Orchestra and the Xi'an Preparatory Orchestra and gave a lecture/performance on Schubert's Unfinished Symphony. 

All three professors have been invited to present master classes and recitals at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music.  In addition, Dunnick and Mauk have both been invited to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, the most prestigious music conservatory in the country, to present recitals and master classes. Mauk will continue on to China Conservatory and Yantai University for formal concerts and master classes.
