Leadership Tompkins is seeking two IC staff/faculty participantsContributed by Kristin LiBritz on 06/19/12 Staff and faculty who have an interest in serving in community leadership roles within Tompkins County should consider applying to Leadership Tompkins. Ithaca College will sponsor two staff or faculty participants for the 2012-13 program year. In addition to learning about our community, including its issues, services and government, participants in Leadership Tompkins have the opportunity to network with current and future leaders. The program runs from September through June, with monthly day-long sessions. During each session, participants visit a different business or nonprofit organization in Tompkins County to learn about the issues facing our community while networking with leaders. In addition to the monthly sessions, participants complete a Community Action Project. Please note that the program kicks off with a retreat in September, which is a two-day session. Please visit the Leadership Tompkins website for information, http://www.leadershiptompkins.org or contact Advisory Board Co-Chair Kristin LiBritz or Advisory Board Member Linda Koenig. You may also learn about the experiences of Ithaca College LT Alumni by contacting: Christy Agnese, Don Austin, Claudia Ayers, Melissa Gattine, Kirra Franzese, Carol Henderson, Lynne Pierce, Dave Prunty and Laurie Ward. Leadership Tompkins is co-sponsored the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce and TC3. |
