Tell us your story! Summer Story Circles are FREE EVENTS open to parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, stepparents, foster parents, primary caregivers, and anyone who has been a part of bringing up of a child! Won't you join us at a story circle?

How many times have you heard the words, “Enjoy it! It goes by so fast?” How many times have you said those words? 

Take this opportunity to stop and reflect on the child-rearing experience from birth, to college, to grand kids. A series of “story circles” is being conducted in Ithaca this Summer. 

These story circles will provide the inspiration for an ORIGINAL PLAY to be performed at the Kitchen Theatre in the Spring of 2013.

No theatre or acting experience is necessary. The story circles will be recorded and developed into a play by Sarah Chalmers Simmons (IC Theatre Alum, Former IC Theatre Arts Lecturer, Current Visiting Lecturer at Cornell University, founding member of the Kitchen Theatre Co.)

Parents who tell stories and are also interested in performing will have the opportunity to collaborate with Sarah on the creation and performance of the play.
