Itohan Osayimwese, Assistant Professor of Art History, filmed by ArteContributed by Itohan Osayimwese on 07/04/12 In June 2012, Itohan Osayimwese, Assistant Professor of Art History, participated in a German script course at Moravian Archives, Bethlehem, PA. Participants of the course were filmed by French-German TV newtork “Arte” for a segment on German culture in the United States. Prof. Osayimwese took the course in order to support her research on nineteenth and early twentieth-century architecture in Germany and its colonies. With this course, she has joined a cadre of only about 10 percent of German language speakers who are able to read this unique script. The Moravian Archives course, which has been taught for forty years, is the only one of its type in the United States. Her participation in the course was funded by an Ithaca College Academic Project Grant.
