Jason Harrington won a grant in Electronic Media and Film from the New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA) for his latest project, Breathing In.

Harrington, an assistant professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences and Studies, is producing and directing the short animated film and also creating a related exhibition/video installation. Breathing In is "a creation story, comprised of modern takes on ancient myths, images borrowed from religious iconography, and pagan symbolism. It follows the journey of a woman through the stages of creation as symbols morph into worlds and planets are eaten by dragons."

His other animated film, My Mind, has continued to screen across the country, and was recently selected for the upcoming Beijing New Youth Film Festival (BNYFF).
