Jan Bastian worked in the Technical Services department of the Ithaca College Library for almost 24 years, retiring in May 2007. She passed away Monday afternoon, July 9, in Horseheads, NY.  She was 66.

Jan was one of the sharpest and most competent people with whom one could ever have the pleasure to work.  At the same time, Jan was also a most kind and gentle soul. She loved animals and gardening, but above all, she loved her dear husband, Lyle, who passed away just a few months ago. Those of us who knew her were saddened but not surprised she followed him so quickly.
