Dr. Donathan Brown, assistant professor of Communication Studies, is the new editor of the Journal of Race and Policy.  Beginning his duties immediately, he replaces the founding editor of the national journal, Dr. Michael Clemons of Old Dominion University.

In addition to beginning normal editorial duties, Dr. Brown, in conjunction with the founding editor and the University of Cincinnati, will co-edit a special 2013 issue of the journal pertaining to contemporary policy analysis through the diverse lenses of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. Brown joined the Ithaca College community as part of the inaugural group of Predoctoral Diversity Fellows in the School of Humanities and Sciences.  He has published several scholarly articles since joining the faculty last year - all focused on the connections between communication, race, language, and public policy.
