Professor Joshua Bonnetta's work American Colour will exhibit as a two channel audio-visual installation as part of THE MUSEUM FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, in a group exhibition curated by Canada Research Chair Janine Marchessault  and Michael Prokopow for Toronto Nuit Blanche 2012. The event will take place at Toronto City Hall on September 29 from 7:03pm until sunrise and includes such artists as Douglas Coupland, Christine Davis and Geoffrey Pugen. In 2011 Nuit Blanche Toronto had an estimated attendance of over one million people.

Nuit Blanche was originally conceived in Paris, France in 2002, in an attempt to bring contemporary art to the masses in public spaces. Now universally translated as 'Sleepless Night', Nuit Blanche brings more than a million people to the streets of Paris every year. In 2005, Paris organizers contacted the City of Toronto's Special Events office with an invitation to join the ranks of approximately six other European cities producing similar all-night events. The international success of Nuit Blanche continues to build each year and has expanded its reach beyond Paris to more than 25 cities across the globe - each offering its own version of the all-night art extravaganza. Toronto was the first North American city to fully replicate the Paris model, and has inspired similar celebrations throughout North America.

The soundtrack for American Colour, composed by Bonnetta and published by the Milan based Electroacoustic label Senufo Editions,  recently received a favorable review in the British Avant-Garde music publication The Wire (July 2012), in addition he was invited to contribute a composition from an upcoming project for their online magazine August 2012 edition.
