Michael A. Malpass, Anthropology, has book published in Arabic.   The Kalima Initiative, a publishing organization located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has translated a book on the Inca Empire into Arabic for dissemination in the Middle East. The book, Daily Life in the Inca Empire, was originally published by Greenwood Press in 1996 and a second edition was released in 2009.  The Kalima Initiative asked to publish an Arabic version of the first edition, and copyright was granted to them to do so in 2010. Professor Malpass wrote a new introduction to the text to place the information in cultural context for Middle Eastern readers.

Dr. Malpass is one of the most concise and knowledgeable Professors I have had the pleasure of learning from. I save the notes from some classes; those from his class were neat as a pin, remarkable for me, and attributable to his teaching style. So glad some of his well-organized knowledge is available in book form! Jen Watson
