IT's NOT TOO LATE!! All members of the Ithaca College community are invited to join the United Way of Tompkins County in the Stephen E. Garner Day of Caring collection of non-perishable food, personal care items, pet supplies and school supplies. This collection drive will take place through NOON TODAY. On Friday, September 21st, all collected items will be taken to Stewart Park for the Day of Caring, where items will sorted and repackaged for distribution to local food pantries and community organizations that reach out to families in need throughout Tompkins County.

You can still pick up items to donate at Macs or the Campus Store and place them in the specially labelled collection box in the main entrance of the Campus Store. Or look for other donation boxes in public areas across campus and please, donate whatever you can. At 2pm, all our campus donations will be loaded into a Gadabout van parked near the ground level main entrance to the Campus Center - come see just how generous our campus community can be!

Would we be able to donate other items besides the ones listed? Thank you!

it depends on what you are thinking of donating. The donations are going to primarily food pantries in the area, so no perishable food items are accepted, nor are furniture/housewares or clothing. If you have a specific item to donate that isn't on the list, let me know what it is and I can ask whether it would be accepted.
Thanks for your generosity.

You might also consider donating something that is not a food item, personal care/household or pet item or school supply to the "Take It Or Leave It" (TIOLI) room in the basement of Clarke for others on campus to be able to reuse.
