Contributed by Paul Deamer on 09/11/12

Submitted on the behalf of Christy Agnese, Senior Assistant to the Dean, School of Music

Beginning in Fall 2013, the School of Music is excited to launch two ICNYC programs for music majors: the Music Immersion Program and the Sound Recording Technology Program.

These semester long programs will offer students an immersive experience with courses centered around the cultural and professional offerings in New York City.

The program will be open to juniors, seniors, and students in their fifth year. All School of Music majors, except for BM in Theory, will be able to study in New York City as part of ICNYC.

Please review the ICNYC website for information about the School of Music's program, including course offerings and academic planning considerations, in addition to general information about costs and housing. Link: Costs & Housing

There will be a ICNYC information session on September 27 at 12:10 in Taughannock Meeting Room. All students considering studying in New York City, even if it will not be for a number of years, are welcome to attend. Please bring all of your questions about the program to this session.

If you are interested in attending the information session, but cannot make it due to junior student teaching, please email Christy Agnese at cagnese@ithaca.edu to set up another meeting time.

School of Music ICNYC applications for Fall 2013 will be due December 4, 2012.
