Tom Nicholson's work featured in Emmy-nominated miniseriesContributed by Melissa Gattine on 09/11/12 Fabric of the Cosmos, a four-part series for Nova aired by PBS, has been nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy. Tom Nicholson worked on episode two of the four-part series. Nicholson, an associate professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences and Studies, shot video and time-lapse photography for the episode “The Illusion of Time.” The series was nominated in the “Outstanding Science and Technology Programming” category. Nicholson also appears in the episode as a gas station attendant with host Brian Greene in a scene explaining Einstein’s special theory of relativity. You can watch the episode here. Winners of the News & Documentary Emmy Awards will be presented on Monday, October 1.

I loved the series, Tom, congrats. Perhaps you deserve a an Emmy for
guest appearance, too. Any chance we can bring Brian Greene to speak
at IC?
