 Ever wonder about how to begin to make sense of the long-standing conflict in Colombia? IC is hosting a showing of the film IMPUNITY: WHAT KIND OF WAR FOR COLOMBIA (2010). It centers on efforts toward transitional justice in Colombia, with a focus on the trial against paramilitary armies, and the connections of these groups with political and economic elites in Colombia and in the U.S.. It examines the question of whether the victims' families are doomed to stay victims forever or are they able to fight Impunity?

The film will be introduced and given some background by guest speaker John Laun, from the Colombia Support Network, a national grassroots organization based in Madison, Wisconsin, created to provide support to Colombian communities and organizations in areas of conflict which seek to construct a just social and economic order using non-violence means. He will also do a Q&A at the end of the film.
