WPAG is holding its first ever children’s clothing swap…Just in Time for Back-to-School and Halloween!!Contributed by Joelle Albertsman on 09/24/12 **ALL PARENTS, CAREGIVERS, PARENTS-TO-BE (and, frankly, anyone at all!) ARE WELCOME!** Affinity groups are designed to be a safe place where both staff and faculty may speak on common interests and provide an opportunity to seek and support one another. The Working Parents Affinity Group (WPAG) provides different perspectives on integrating work and our families as working professionals. This group is co-facilitated by two moms who work here on campus and who are interested in developing a resourceful place for other working parents to come together and share with one another based on ideas that YOU provide!! THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, from 3-6pm, in the Circles Community Center Conference Room, WPAG will hold its first ever children’s clothing swap! We are only accepting children’s apparel, footwear, and accessories for boys and girls ages newborn to 16 years old. PLEASE…NO ADULT CLOTHING OR NON-CLOTHING ITEMS ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. At a later date, perhaps we will have an event for toys, books, etc. This event is for anyone and everyone!! Perhaps you have clothing to get rid of…perhaps you need some things…perhaps, both!! This is your opportunity to unload for free and shop for free! You needn’t be a member of WPAG, but you must be a member of our Ithaca College community. There is no limit on how much you can bring or take! Halloween is coming! Maybe you have old costumes to get rid of or you need a new one for your child. Perhaps you have a whole bag of clothes you just moved out of your child’s closet as you prepared for their new school year. Or maybe you haven’t had a chance or the means to purchase new school clothes for your kids yet. HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO “TAKE IT or LEAVE IT”! The Circles Community Center Conference Room will be open starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday September 27th. You are welcome to drop off your items on your way in to work, on your lunch hour, or on your way home. However, the room will not be open for “shopping” until 3pm and we will shut things down at 6pm. Mark Darling and his crew will happily take and donate any items we have left over at 6pm to local charities and organizations! SEE YOU ALL THERE! :) Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Joelle Albertsman at 274-3215 or e-mail jalbertsman@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
