After six years with the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, Assistant Professor Chris Pelchat is leaving the College to take the position of Director of Outdoor Education at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. His last day of work will be Wednesday, October 3. Chris has been an incredibly valuable member of the RLS faculty, and especially so for the Outdoor Adventure Leadership major. The Department would like to congratulate him on his new position; although his resignation is a great loss to our department, the position is “a dream come true” for him. Please join us as we celebrate Chris' contributions and wish him success in the years ahead. A going away reception will be held in his honor on Tuesday, October 2,12:00-1:00 p.m. in the CHS 301 the Faculty/Staff Lounge.
