LGBT and Allied students - have breakfast with our guests musician Jennifer Leitham and filmmaker Andrea Meyerson on Friday, October 5 from 8:30 am - 10 am in the LGBT Resource Room. Reservations are appreciated, to lgbt@ithaca.edu.

Jazz musician Jennifer Leitham and filmmaker Andrea Meyerson will spend three days on campus providing learning opportunities for students as well as several additional events that are free and open to the campus community and the local area.

They will introduce a screening of I Stand Corrected on Wednesday October 3 at 7 pm in Textor 101. I Stand Corrected is the true story of jazz bass virtuoso, Jennifer Leitham, formerly known as John Leitham, who risked everything when she transitioned publicly during the height of her career in order to be her true self. The film has received many awards, including "Audience Favorite for Best Film," American Documentary Film Festival; "Audience Choice for Best Documentary Feature," Translations: The Seattle Transgender Film Festival, and "Audience Award for Outstanding Documentary Feature," Outfest: LA Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

In addition to the screening on Wednesday October 3, there will also be a reception on Thursday October 4 from 5:30-7:30 pm in Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center, which is free and open to the campus community and members of the larger local community.
