Devan Rosen to Present at the Thursday, October 4 Faculty ColloquiumContributed by MaryAnn Taylor on 10/02/12 Submitted by Marisa Kelly, Provost Please join me on Thursday, October 4th, for the second Faculty Colloquium of the new academic year. Devan Rosen, Assistant Professor of New Media, Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies will be presenting: Using Social Networks to Reveal Hidden Connections and Cloaked Contingencies. The IC Faculty Colloquium, launched last year, is a monthly event designed to provide a forum for faculty to share with one another their scholarly and creative work. This is a chance for people across department and school lines to learn more about the exciting pursuits of their colleagues and to engage with one another as members of a common learning community. The Colloquium will take place from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. in the Taughannock Fall Room of the Campus Center. We will enjoy wine, appetizers, an outstanding presentation, and excellent conversation. During the social half-hour before the presentation, we will be seeing artwork from Susan Weisend (Professor, Art Department, School of Humanities and Sciences) and hearing recordings from Dawn Pierce (Assistant Professor, Performance Studies, School of Music). I hope to see you there.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact MaryAnn Taylor at mataylor@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3113. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
