Student Workshop: "Why Asian-American Studies Matter"Contributed by Claire Swensen on 10/11/12 The Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (CSCRE) in continuation with their fall Discussion Series; Suffocating Knowledge: Race, Power, Possibilities and in collaboration with Cornell Asian-American Studies Department, hosts a student workshop: "Why Asian-American Studies Matter?" Tuesday, October 16th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. "A workshop on the academy and activism to bridge and set the scene for engagement with a new Asian-American Studies minor program at Ithaca College. This interactive workshop will be a space for students with faculty and members of the community to discuss what is currently missing in their Ithaca College curriculum and how they would like to shape the Asian-American Studies program."
