The School of Music is pleased to highlight two upcoming performances by the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra (CCO) as part of their 2012-2013 season.

On Sunday, October 28th at 2:15 P.M., Cayuga Chamber Orchestra presents Peter and the Wolf, a free concert and “Instrumental Petting Zoo” at the United Presbyterian Church in Cortland, NY. A quintet of CCO musicians, joined by Steven Stull, will perform Peter and the Wolf, a classic gem of the repertoire that is terrific for all ages. Pre-concert activities begin at 2:15 P.M. and the concert begins at 3 P.M.

On Saturday, November 17th at 8 P.M., Cayuga Chamber Orchestra presents Bach to Basics, a unique performance in Ford Hall. From CCO’s website: “The CCO turns programming ‘rules’ upside-down to create a program unlike any other.  You'll hear the strings and winds featured separately in works that highlight their unique strengths and colors.  Come hear the CCO Musicians in a format unlike any you've heard before!”

The performance begins with a pre-concert chat at 7:15 P.M. in Iger Hall. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $7 for students.

Ithaca College Student Rush Ticketing

Through partnering with Cayuga Chamber Orchestra (CCO), Ithaca College students will be able to attend all CCO concerts held in Ford Hall at no cost.  Students should stand in line outside of the house left entrance to Ford Hall before each concert and have their Ithaca College Student ID available upon request.

Five minutes before the concert, ushers will seat students in available seats throughout the house. Seats will be available at a first come, first served basis, but every effort will be made to seat as many students as possible. In the occasion that a ticket holder arrives, the student sitting in the ticket holder’s assigned seat should find the nearest usher in order to be reseated.

For general information about the performances, or to purchase tickets, call 607-273-4497, or email info@CCOithaca.org. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation should contact the School of Music at 607-274-3717.
