Dream Acts is a fictional play about DREAM-eligible youth, in which five undocumented teens from Nigeria, Mexico, The Ukraine, Korea, and Jordan face the extraordinary challenge of living ordinary lives under the radar. Each story is moving and urgent; some are funny, others are tragic, and through their experiences, we learn about the DREAM Act and the secret lives led by undocumented youth.

The cast addresses us as “Dreamers,” inserting us into the plights we’ve just witnessed. What’s more American—and perhaps more human—than to dream? In creating a rich, entertaining and well acted portrait of the lives of young immigrants, “Dream Acts” does its part to bring their dreams a little closer to home. -NEW YORK THEATRE REVIEW

Originally conceived by Chiori Miyagawa, DREAM Act Union is an unincorporated group of women theater artists working together to raise awareness of the challenges that undocumented youths face and the DREAM Act bill through creation of theatrical events. www.DreamActUnion.org
