On October 25, Assistant Professor Skott Freedman (Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology) held a workshop entitled "Auditory Processing Disorder: What It Is and Isn't" at Tioga Opportunities, Inc. in Owego, New York.

Auditory processing is how the brain recognizes and interprets an acoustic signal. Approximately 60 attendees learned the often misunderstood diagnosis of an auditory processing disorder. Defining characteristics were explored and common treatment methods were discussed.
