Learn more about Native American history, politics, archaeology and contemporary struggles and cultural expressions! Take classes, attend the great slate of events in November and add a minor!

The NAMS minor may be particularly valuable to students pursuing careers in communications, education, multicultural outreach, human services, medicine, and the social sciences. Every May during the 2 week session Service Learning in Native America is offered (ANTH 14500) where students learn about Native culture, help out, and even visit with buffalo on the Onondaga Nation. During summer 2013, Jack Rossen will offer an archaeological field school where students can develop a variety of professional skills and learn more about the Haudenosaunee homeland and their current struggles for controlling their own cultural patrimony.
