Join us to hear Farm Sanctuary President and Co-Founder, Gene Baur, on Wednesday, November 7, at 7 p.m. in BUS 111. Mr. Baur is the author of the national best-selling book, Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food, and has been hailed as “the conscience of the food movement,” by Time Magazine.

Gene will be speaking on the topics of our food system, the treatment of farm animals, and ways we can all improve our world by making ethical choices about what we eat. These topics are of great interest these days as more and more people realize that our modern industrialized food system is unhealthy for people, animals, and the earth. Gene's approach is empirically-based, inclusive, and non-judgmental.

Gene is the co-founder and president of Farm Sanctuary, America’s leading farm animal protection organization. For 25 years, he has traveled extensively, campaigning to raise awareness about the abuses of industrialized factory farming and our cheap food system. Gene views farm animals as emotional, intelligent individuals and has dedicated his career to advocating on their behalf.
