CSCRE Hosts Spoken Word Artist, Colin Masashi "Senbei" EharaContributed by Claire Swensen on 11/02/12 Re: Incarnation: A Pedagogy of Courage Colin Masashi “Senbei” Ehara is a Yonsei-Nikkei (4thGeneration-Japanese diaspora), Scottish/German/Iroquois American Educator, Youth/Cultural Worker, Hip-Hop/Spoken-Word Artist, writer, aspiring EnglishTeacher, and perpetual student, born and raised in the Bay Area (Richmond), CA. He received his B.A. in American Studies from UC Santa Cruz, his M.A. in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University, and is currently obtaining an M.A. and Single-Subject Credential in Teaching: Urban Education & Social Justice, at the University of San Francisco. Colin has lectured and facilitated workshops in numerous schools and Universities in California, has worked with children and young adults from 3rd grade through College, and is honored to have shared the same stage as Zion I, Native Guns, iLL-Literacy, Planet Asia, Rappin’ 4-Tay, Bao Phi, One-Be-Lo, Denizen Kane and DJ Q-Bert.
