The Occupational Therapy Department had a strong presence at the New York State Occupational Therapy Association conference November 10th and 11th.

Presentations given at the state conference spanned a variety of areas of interest. Dr. Michelle Bradshaw presented on What Occupational Therapists Need to Know about Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM): The Basics. Three research projects were presented in poster format. Dr. Diane Long presented with Alexis Kasowitz and Brittany White on  A Comparison of Teacher Perceptions' of Second Grade Students' Handwriting and Two Occupational Therapy Assessments. Lisa Hammond presented on her thesis research advised by Dr. Diane Long on Spirituality and Vocation: A Survey of Service Workers from an Occupational Science Perspective. Jessica Hauberg presented research she conducted with Molly Osterhoudt with advisement from Dr. Carole Dennis titled Look Who's Driving Now: Infants on Robots.
