Amber Meadow Adams (Mohawk) to speak Tues on Native American language revitalizationContributed by Jack Rossen on 11/25/12 The talk, titled "Onkwawenna'on:we: The Weight of Words in a Decolonizing Methodology" will be in Clark Lounge, Campus Center on Tuesday, Nov 27, 12:10-1:00 pm. Ms. Adams is working with the language immersion programs of the Mohawk Nation and will discuss how keeping language alive is necessary to the vitality of a people and culture. Her visit to campus is part of Ithaca College's celebration of Native American Month, sponsored by the IC Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs, the Native American Studies Program, and the Department of Anthropology.
