Outlook Calendar will replace Oracle Calendar for faculty and staff scheduling on January 2, 2013. On Friday December 21st at 5 pm, Oracle Calendar will become unavailable to the campus community; and, we will begin copying user data from Oracle Calendar to Microsoft Live@edu Outlook Calendar. We estimate the copy process will take approximately four days.

As soon as your data has been copied, you will have access to it in Outlook Web App (OWA) and/or the Outlook email client, whichever you use. However, because we are copying 1300 calendars, we ask all Oracle Calendar users to NOT access your calendar until January 2nd.

The new Outlook Calendar environment is very different from Oracle Calendar. ITS urges calendar users to attend training or take advantage of online help resources. The workshops are very full next week but we will be adding more training in January.

Additional information will be emailed directly to Oracle Calendar users next week.
