Faculty invited to meet guest speaker from the Congressional Research Service, in Career ServicesContributed by Kristin LiBritz on 12/04/12 Faculty are invited to meet Clare Ribando Seelke, who is a specialist in Latin American Affairs at the Congressional Research Service. Join us on Thursday, Dec. 6, for coffee & bagels as we welcome our guest speaker to campus. Please stop by Career Services between 9:00am & 10:00am on Thursday morning, as your schedule permits. This is an informal gathering and you are welcome to attend even if you only have 10 minutes to spare. An RSVP to klibritz@ithaca.edu would be appreciated. Ms. Seelke will be presenting to students at 12:15 on the topic of federal career opportunities, visiting classes & also meeting 1:1 with students. Guest speaker bio: Clare Ribando Seelke is a Specialist in Latin American Affairs at the Congressional Research Service, the research arm of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. She came to CRS as a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) and completed rotations with the State Department in the Dominican Republic and with the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington D.C. as part of her PMF fellowship. She covers Mexico, Bolivia, and Central America, as well as a number of cross-cutting issues such as the Merida Initiative, Gangs, and Trafficking in Persons. Ms. Seelke holds a Master of Public Affairs and Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Notre Dame. |
