Dear faculty, I invite you all to a meeting to be held on Monday, December 10 from 5 to 6 p.m. in Textor 102. The purpose of the meeting will be to bring greater transparency and clarity to the directions IC is taking, and to provide an opportunity to hear faculty concerns and have a dialog about them. The scope of discussion in this meeting is wide open and up to you. My goal is to listen, bringing information and context to the table where that seems appropriate. I apologize in advance to those whose other obligations will not permit you to attend this meeting. The Tuesday and Thursday noon hours next week were already taken with important school faculty meetings and this was the best option we could find. It is my hope that we will have additional meetings of this nature in the spring semester, and we will certainly try to provide more advance notice. I hope to see you then. Tom |
