CFE Director accepts new responsibilities in Sponsored ResearchContributed by MaryAnn Taylor on 12/04/12 Story contributed on behalf of Provost Marisa Kelly I am delighted to announce that Dr. Wade Pickren, IC's Center for Faculty Excellence Director, is assuming additional new responsibilities, supporting faculty research as Director of the CFE and Sponsored Research. Dr. Pickren's prior experience with grant-based research, and his familiarity with related federal and private foundation guidelines, make him a natural fit and an excellent choice to work with faculty in this expanded role. He will now be participating directly in the work of related committees, including Human Subjects Research, Institutional Biosafety, and Institutional Animal Care and Use. Assisting Dr. Pickren will be MaryAnn Taylor, serving as Coordinator for Sponsored Research. She will continue to work out of the Office of the Provost/VPEA. I am confident that these changes will enhance both the Center for Faculty Excellence and the ability of faculty to participate in grant projects through Sponsored Research. I very much appreciate the willingness of these two talented individuals to undertake new responsibilities in an area that will be key to Ithaca College's future success.
