Outlook Calendar to Replace Oracle Calendar January 2, 2013Contributed by Beth Rugg on 12/16/12 On January 2, 2013, Outlook Calendar will replace Oracle Calendar as the institutional calendaring software. Oracle Calendar does not work on Mac OS 10.8 and will no longer be supported by Oracle by mid-2013. ITS has been working with Oracle Calendar account holders regarding this change and the copying of their data from Oracle to Outlook over the December shut-down. Oracle calendar is primarily used by staff and some faculty for scheduling meetings. Outlook calendar has been available to others since June 2012 when email moved to Microsoft Live@edu. As of January 2nd, all faculty, staff and students will be able to use the same calendar system. Training for Outlook calendar is available in Friends 101, the Technology Learning Center and online: Please contact the ITS Helpdesk if you have any questions. ITS Helpdesk |
