In August 2012, Ithaca College launched an Effectiveness and Affordability Review and partnered with a consulting firm, Huron Education, to make recommendations on the following:

  • Ways to increase revenue from existing or new opportunities
  • Opportunities to reduce costs or eliminate spending
  • Ways to enhance efficiencies and improve the college's level of service

View this video from President Rochon to learn more about the Effectiveness and Affordability Review Initiative and how to provide feedback on the Huron recommendations.

Recommendations developed by Huron Education are now posted at ithaca.edu/EARfeedback. Ithaca College faculty, staff, and students who have an active Netpass user ID and password can review the recommendations and provide feedback through the Sakai website from January 17 to February 11, 2013. It is important to note that these are recommendations being made to the college, not an approved action plan.

Important Dates

  • January 17-February 11: Sakai site with Huron recommendations open for review and current faculty, staff, and student feedback
  • February 3: Student Government Association meeting to discuss recommendations
  • February 6, 3-6 p.m.: Open house to collect feedback from faculty, staff, and students
