Dr. John Richmond, the second candidate for the position of Dean of the School of Music will visit the Ithaca College campus on February 4th and 5th. Members of the Ithaca College campus community can find Dr. Richmond’s bio and c.v. on the Provost’s website under “Finalists for the Dean of the School of Music” https://www.ithaca.edu/provost/ Dr. Richmond will make a public presentation on Monday, February 4th from 4-5 PM in Clark Lounge in the Campus Center. We encourage all members of the campus community to attend Dr. Richmond's presentation which will include ample time for Q&A. The presentation will be followed by an informal reception. Dr. Richmond is a tenured Professor in the School of Music of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he is serving in his second 5-year term as the Director of the School of Music. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Richmond served as a Professor and in various administrative capacities in the School of Music at the University of South Florida, Tampa. His educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Music Education) from Northwestern University, a Master of Music (Choral Conducting) from The Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri at Kansas City and a Bachelor of Science (Music Education) from William Jewell College. |
