To say there is a great deal going on right now at IC is an understatement!  That is a good thing because this is a particularly challenging time in higher education, and IC (along with all other colleges) must accelerate the pace of strategically directed change if we are to thrive in the current environment.

Rapid change calls for increased communication, however, and so I would like to initiate a “Breakfast with Tom” series for faculty and staff.  I hope through these breakfasts to have a chance to talk together about our dreams for Ithaca College.  I’d like to hear from you about how things are going in your department, office or division -- both what is good and what could be better.  Beyond that general subject, the focus of our breakfast conversation will be wide open, and I encourage you to bring to the table any topics you would like to discuss.

I hope you will consider being my guest at breakfast in the IC Square Meeting Room at 7:30 am on one of the dates listed below for a conversation that will break up at 8:45.  To reserve a place at one of the breakfasts, just send me a brief note at president@ithaca.edu.  Seats will go to the first 12 people who ask to be part of any given breakfast meeting.  Thank you and I look forward to our conversations!

Tom
